Brandt Publishing handles all of the materials having to do with the
Responsible Thinking Process (RTP), a school discipline process that
teaches students how to think of ways to resolve their conflicts, so
they can succeed both socially and academically.
It doesn't hold teachers accountable for controlling
students or satisfying their needs. It does hold teachers accountable
for teaching. It holds administrators accountable for maintaining the
integrity of the process.
All types of manipulative strategies such as rewards
or punishments are viewed as demeaning to the student and unnecessary.
It is an exciting new approach based on Perceptual
Control Theory (PCT), which teaches that human beings control, not their
behavior, but their experiences, thus each person is totally responsible
for how they go about achieving their goals and for respecting the
rights of others.

For learning the details of how to use the process, the next two books
are critical.
They are books to be read and reread, used, studied, and referred to as
you continue to implement the process.
